The College
The main College building has evolved from an 18th century manor house, tastefully extended in the 1930's and overlooking an impressive lawned terrace. Please be aware that some venues in the College may not be available for hire during term time.
Accommodation
The College can sleep up to 49 people in a combination of twin, single and double rooms. Toilet and shower facilities are available on each level of the buildings and there is a tea point on each level for making drinks. A small number of rooms are available year round, all bedrooms in College may be booked out of term time. We are currently mid-way through a refurbishment programme for College rooms, which is why the available number of bed spaces has been reduced to 49. When this work is complete, we will be able to offer some en-suite accommodation in College.
The Main Lecture Room
A substantial venue for up to 90 people featuring modern presentation equipment, including an internet enabled computer and data projector, interactive whiteboard and hi-fi system. Please check availability when you book.
The Samuel Chadwick Memorial Library
A meeting room suitable for use by up to 60 people. The memorial Library has the same presentation equipment available as the Lecture Room. Please check availability when you book.
The Reading Room
The Reading Room can accommodate up to 30 people with the same presentation equipment available as the Lecture Room. Only available out of term time.
The Day Student Room
A smaller venue, the Day Student Room can seat up to 20 people. Only available out of term time.
The College Common Room
This comfortable room can seat up to 80 people in its wood-panelled surroundings. Only available out of term time.
The College Chapel
A beautiful chapel, which can seat up to 120 worshippers. The chapel has recently been re-developed into a more 'user friendly' space and is used by staff and students daily. You are welcome to visit the chapel during your stay. If you would like to book the chapel for use by your group, please ask about availability at the time of booking.
